How GhostConvert works
A clear explanation of what happens when you upload a file, how conversions run, and how downloads are produced.
The workflow
- Choose a tool (example: PNG → JPG, Merge PDF, PDF → Word, MP4 → MP3).
- Upload your file (some PDF tools allow multiple files).
- Processing starts and the job runs on the server.
- You get a download link when the job completes.
What tools are used
GhostConvert uses standard, widely trusted conversion engines (for example image, PDF, and media processing tools) to produce predictable results. Guides show best practices for each format so you get cleaner output.
File cleanup
Uploaded files exist only long enough to generate your converted output. Temporary files are cleaned up automatically after a short period. Full details: Privacy Policy.
Troubleshooting
- If a PDF fails, try compressing it first: Compress PDF + Guide.
- If an SVG export looks blurry, increase output size: SVG → PNG + Guide.
- If a media file fails, verify it plays locally first, then retry the conversion.
